ASUS, renowned for its high-quality Pentium II motherboards, returns to the Socket 7 arena with its P5A-B motherboard. The P5A-B is a 'Super 7' board, meaning that it supports AGP graphics and the 100MHz system bus speed, features which are enabled by the P5A-B's Ali Aladdin V chipset. The P5A-B board supports a wide variety of processors and system bus speeds.??This motherboard is a good choice for a moderate upgrade from your old computer system. You won't be able to continue using older SIMM memory modules with the P5A-B board, but you should be able to keep using your older system case and AT power supply, and two of your old ISA expansion cards. The P5A-B board may be used with either Baby AT or ATX style power connectors, since it contains sockets for both types. The P5A-B contains three 168-pin DIMM sockets, which support up to 384MB of SDRAM.
