Black Box RS-232<->RS-485/449 Interface Converter supports full-duplex operation and hardware handshaking for up to 32 bi-directional devices. Because it's transparent to speed and protocol, you can use it for various applications. It provides bi-directional synchronous or asynchronous conversion for all commonly used RS-232 and RS-485 signals. Each port is selectable for DTE (data-terminal equipment) or DCE (data-communications equipment). Both ports feature three LED indicators - DSR, CTS, and Data - that indicate the status of incoming data on each port so you can monitor activity initiated from either side of the converter.
