DPT currently provides a choice of external enclosure offerings. These enclosures are available in a 3 drive, 7 drive and 14 drive configuration. All DPT external drive enclosures include intelligent electronics which provide a number of advanced array management and signal stabilization features, including: Cabinet temperature status; Cabinet power status; RAID array status; Drive insertion/removal status - allows RAID arrays to be automatically rebuilt when a replacement drive is inserted, without user intervention; Visual cabinet status indicators; SCSI BUS signal repeater technology; Active termination. Environmental and array status information is provided to the host adapter and the OS resident Storage Manager for capture and logging of error / event information.
