The basic building blocks for the modularity of iMcT/12 managed media converters are the single-port Intelligent MediaConverter (Telco) Port Interface Modules (iMcT-PIMs). iMcT-PIM modules are compatible with 10Base-T (RJ-45), 10Base-2 (BNC) and 10Base-FL (ST or SC) protocols and cabling standards. Fiber optic modules are available for 850nm multi-mode, 1300nm multi-mode or 1300nm single-mode.??Each hot-swappable, twisted pair and fiber iMcT-PIM module includes LinkLoss and FiberAlert (fiber only) features that notify network managers of "silent failures" and assist in diagnosing problems on fiber optic networks.
