The ORiNOCO Active Ethernet Splitter splits the Ethernet from the power at the remote site. Active Ethernet provides power-over-Ethernet (PoE) capabilities for the entire ORiNOCO family of Access Points, Access Servers, and Outdoor Routers.??With Active Ethernet, installers need to run only a single Ethernet cable instead of separate power and data cables to each Access Point. This eliminates the need for 110/220 VAC wiring which significantly reduces installation costs.??The Active Ethernet solution consists of a power injector, typically installed in the wiring closet that injects the DC power onto the Ethernet cable.
