The Repeater 3270 is a family of cascadable signal repeaters designed to allow extended distances to be achieved via unshielded twisted pair of fiber optic cable in IBM System 3270 environment. There are two basic models; The UTP Repeater 3270 and the Fiber Repeater 3270. The UTP Repeater allows data to be transmitted up to 3000 feet away from the controller via unshielded twisted pair cable. The Fiber Repeater 3270 is used in pairs and allows data to be transmitted up to 8200 feet via fiber optic cable plus 3000 feet via unshielded twisted pair cable. The product features true repeater technology, which resynchronizes and reformats the signal, thus allowing greater distance to be achieved. Minimize
