Bay Networks Nautica CLAM family provides superior routing solutions for Internet, intranet, and remote access to the corporate LAN backbone across a choice of WAN services. CLAM is the ideal choice for one or more users who require simple, inexpensive dial-up or dedicated access to these resources over ISDN, Frame Relay, or digital leased line services. Featuring a RISC-based multiprocessor to maintain high filtering and forwarding rates, CLAMs provide solutions for a wide range of network needs and environments. Each CLAM is equipped with an Ethernet interface. CLAMs are also available with a Synchronous interface and/or an ISDN Basic Rate Interface (BRI). Synchronous interfaces are available providing X.21, V.24/RS-232, or V.35 physical interfaces and support clocking rates of up to T1/E1 speeds.
