Using the new 1GHz UltraSPARC IIIi processor, the price/performance-leading Sun Blade 1500 workstation offers high-performance 64-bit computing ideal for a wide range of business and technical environments. The Sun Blade 1500 workstation is equipped with a robust set of workstation features, including 512MB DDR memory, a 1MB Level 2 on-die cache, an 80GB Ultra ATA100 hard drive (expandable to two), five PCI slots, built-in USB 1.1, USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394a FireWire ports, a 16X (max. speed) DVD-ROM drive and on-board Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000BaseT). There are no graphics installed, but the 1500 supports up to three Sun XVR-100 or up to two Sun XVR-600 graphics accelerators, enabling a range of 2-D and 3-D graphics cards and options.
