The ESX-2400 utilizes Marconi's award-winning Firewall Switching Agent (FSA) technology to accelerate the policies of one or more Check Point FireWall-1 or Network Associates Gauntlet firewall servers to multi-Gigabit speeds. Therefore, the ESX-2400 enables you to secure your internal network without compromising performance or breaking the bank. The ESX-2400 is a four-slot 10/100/1000 modular chassis. It supports up to 192 ports of 10/100 Ethernet, or 21 ports of Gigabit Ethernet plus 24 ports of 10/100 Ethernet. It can support wire-speed OC-3c and OC-12c asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) uplinks. With a 10 Gbps back plane (20 Gbps full duplex), it can deliver IP routing, bridging, and fire walling performance at up to 17 Mpps.??The ESX-2400 is able to accelerate firewalling performance for transmission control protocol (TCP) applications to up to 10 Gbps (20 Gbps full duplex) and 20 Gbps (40 Gbps full duplex), respectively.
