The DRX-830U External USB 2.0 Dual Layer DVD Burner from Sony supports 8.5 GB dual layer DVD burning as well as support for standard 4.7 GB DVD media. The drive features a high-speed USB 2.0 interface, allowing you to connect it to almost any computer. The drive allows you to burn DVD+/-R discs at 18x speed, allowing you to write a full DVD in approximately 5 minutes. You can write 8.5 GB dual layer DVD+/-R DL discs at 8x speed and DVD-RAM discs at 12x speed. The drive will also write standard CD-R/RW discs at up to 48x speed. The drive includes the Nero 7 Software Suite for Windows, allowing you to get started burning discs right out of the box. These features and more make the drive an excellent solution for your DVD and CD burning needs. Minimize

Pros: Easy to setup, great software, tons of features

Cons: Can be noisy

The Bottom Line: Sony did a great job with this DVD burner, plus the software is worth half of what you'll pay for it.

Awesome Burner!

Pros: Fast, nice looking, does the job!

Cons: NONE

The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this Sony burner! It works quickly with the end result a great copied DVD. Extremely user friendly.
